Personal Statement
As a freshman at Sacred Heart Academy (SHA) in Hamden, Connecticut, I started varsity in two sports; soccer and lacrosse. In both sports, I have been able to be part of a team that qualified for the Southern Connecticut Conference and States for the first time in many years! Any time I can get on the field to play soccer is a good day! I have been told that I am easy to coach and that I never give up. My work ethic is reflected in my perseverance on the field and in my academic grade point average. I have been lucky to have the opportunity to train with my identical twin sister as we are both keepers. I am also lucky to be trained by Paul DelloStritto of Bravo Goalkeeping, as he trained Alyssa Naeher, who became the goalie for the U. S. National Team. In my free time, I enjoy playing the violin and skiing. At SHA, I have made high honors each marking period to date, am a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society, and participate in many clubs and school activities. I have also volunteered to package food for the less fortunate in a 3rd world country and participate in the school orchestra, medical research club, key club, and sister to sister club where I dedicate time to interact with the senior religious sisters. In addition, I assist in running the snack shack during the basketball season at SHA. I am very passionate about soccer and dream about playing at the next level!
