Maya Martin '27 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember. My love and passion for the game motivates me to compete and work hard everyday to reach my dream of playing collegiate level soccer. Every time I step onto the field I try my best to play as well as I can to help my team win. I believe I am a very competitive hard-working player. I started playing soccer at the rec level when I was around 4 years old and just fell in love with the game. I am a very hardworking student-athlete on and off the field as you can tell from my award of student-athlete for the first quarter of my freshman year and from being 2 time CCC All-Academic team, as well as CCC All-Conference in my sophomore high school season. I strive to push myself to be better than I was yesterday everyday. When facing a challenge I always take it straight on and find a way to get through it with hard work and determination. In the classroom I strive to keep my 4.8 GPA and always put my best effort into my work. I have had high honors since 6th grade and always try to put my best forward whether on the field in the gym or in the classroom. My first two years of High School I was the starting varsity goalkeeper for Middletown High School. I can't wait to see what I will accomplish the next 2 years of high school as I prepare to compete at the collegiate level.
