Maddy Johnson '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi!

My name is Maddy Johnson and I am a junior (2026) at Staples High School in Westport, CT where I currently hold a 3.8 GPA. I have played for Staples on the Varsity soccer team the past three years and I was proudly part of the 2022 State Championship team (Class LL - Large Schools) as a Freshman. For club, I play for the Connecticut Football Club (CFC) ECNL United RL team. I play center and wide forward and have been the top scorer for 2 of the past 3 years (33 goals). I am currently 5’9” and 159 lbs and ran the 300 yard sprints (50 yard field) in 50 and 53 seconds this fall (with a minute rest in-between).

I was also on the Staples High School Varsity Lacrosse team as a Freshman and Sophomore. As a Freshman, I played for the USA Lacrosse Women's National Tournament Team for Connecticut. I enjoy the community and structure of team sports and I work hard to balance my athletic and academic commitments.

I strive to be the best I can in the classroom by taking rigorous classes, and I love volunteering with groups like Best Buddies! This fall I was chosen to be a leader in my school's Link Crew, where I will serve as a mentor to the incoming Freshmen during their first year.
