For me, soccer is the embodiment of female empowerment. Leadership in sports translates to leadership in life. The challenge of working cohesively toward a common goal, placing the team first, persevering through adversity and uplifting each other to find success is what drives my passion. The lessons learned on the pitch are directly applicable to life beyond soccer. The pursuit of success is coupled with a mindset of constant growth and reflection, a mindset that embraces failures as one of the critical pieces required to grow and improve, Our drive is to improve, to do whatever we can to become an immediate contributor, by leveraging our unique skills and the skills of my teammates, to provide the best opportunity for our team to achieve their goals. The way we practice is the way we play, and the harder we work for each other, and push each other to improve, the closer we will get to meeting our goals. I pride myself on being the voice of positivity, leadership and hope in the face of adversity. Soccer is the sport that challenges us to constantly problem solve, get better, work for our teammates, push harder, and sacrifice. I have loved and respected the game since I learned to walk, and my passion has only grown stronger. Playing in college is the natural next step for me, and I am willing to do everything needed and more to take that next step.
