Hello, I'm Taylor Keane! I've been playing soccer since I was 6 and have always seen soccer as a great asset in getting my mind off of the other things in my life and a way to truly enjoy myself and my team, even if it's only for a few hours at a time. I would love to play soccer in college because I love the team atmosphere and feel that soccer makes me a better person character wise and time management wise. On a collegiate team I will bring an intelligent view of the game, work ethic, my support of my teammates and my desire to always want to continue improving to help create a positive and winning atmosphere.
I played outside wing on a boys travel team until U13 when I switched to playing center back on a girls travel team as the boys quickly got bigger. I love playing center back and defensive positions in general because I like to analyze the game. I am a smart and communicative player who leads the team from defense. I view soccer as a competitive puzzle where I have to anticipate what the other team is going to do and not get caught reacting last second. Even when sidelined due to injury, I take what Abby Wambach said about leading from where you are and try my best to bring positive energy to the field and encourage, support and lead my team from the sideline. I am an extremely hard worker on the field and in school, where I have maintained a perfect 4.0 throughout 9th, 10th and the first part of 11th grade while taking 14 AP classes, including 2 that I am taking outside of school. I love to help others and I often give help to many of my friends when they need a little extra help with homework or studying for a test.
