I really enjoy sports and the positive impact it has had in my life. I have been playing soccer since I was three years old and because of my love for soccer it became my number one sport when I was eight. I transitioned to a full time goalkeeper when I was nine years old and fell in love with everything about the position. Playing in this position has given me confidence both on and off the field. It has taught me that through a positive attitude you can overcome many things. It is not just about making the best save in the world but how carry yourself when faced with challenges both on and off the field. I have learned that teamwork, communication and focus give you opportunities that you may have otherwise felt unachievable. My goals off the field (in school) are to be the best student I can be both academically and socially. I have taken the same focus that have led to successes on the soccer field and used them academically. One accomplishment as a result is that I am fluent in Mandarin. I continue to push myself to make outstanding grades (honor roll) and be an active and positive member in the school community. I enjoy helping those less fortunate and spend during the holidays at local food banks giving back to the city I love. Athletically, I would consider myself a natural athlete and have played many competitively growing up. I am strong and aggressive and give it my all in both practice and games. I look forward to continuing to grow my skill set in all activities over the next four years with my goal of representing my college/university on the pitch.
