Emily Masi '22 Recruiting Profile

I am going into my senior year at Indian Rocks Christian School in Largo, FL.  I start as Center Back on both my club and high school teams.   Both teams are very strong defensively  and I feel that my work and decision making as a Center Back is a big reason why.  In addition to playing Center Back I've played Left Back on both teams several times when needed.

My grandfather has been a soccer coach since the mid 70's, my dad was a player till 30 and coaches to this day.   I was born into a soccer crazed family and had no choice but to be ingrained in the culture of the game, and I love it.   Most weekends if we aren't at the field, we can be found watching Serie A and Prem matches.   

My best attribute as a player is my positional discipline and game awareness.    Very rarely will I get caught out of position or beat and give up a 1 v 1 with my goal keeper.    Also I do very well in starting the transition from defending to attack.  I try and find the times when breaking lines is on to get us into the attack quicker, but also look keep the ball when it's not on.

I'm hoping to fit in as a student athlete at a college where I can earn a degree in biology to help find a career in that field.
