Hello, my name is Allison Paskiewicz. I have been playing soccer my whole life, however I developed a strong passion for the sport when I moved up to varsity in eighth grade. Soccer has taught me a lot about myself and has developed me into who I am today. I have learned how to think fast, be accountable, have respect, patience, and how to work as a team. Additionally, being team captain, as well as an AYSO soccer coach, since sophomore year has taught me essential leadership skills.
Off the field I am dedicated to my studies. I pride myself in working hard in everything I do, especially when it comes to academics. I want to attend a college where I am not only challenged on the field, but also in the classroom. I would love to pursue a degree in environmental science so one day I can design innovative solutions to environmental and sustainable resource issues.
During my freshman year of high school, my home town in the Florida Keys was devastated by Category 4 Hurricane Irma. Overcoming life after a storm led to my interest in environmental studies. Hurricane Irma also effected me on the soccer field. My school and community soccer fields were ruined, and my club season was also effected. Living a minimum of an hour away from any club team was already a challenge, and what this storm left behind only made things more difficult. Playing soccer in a time of such heartache was one of the only things that kept my spirits up and only made me want to play at the next level more.
My passion for the sport combined with my work ethic and quick learning leads me to believe I would be an asset to any team I play on.
