Macie Goshorn '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, my name is Macie Goshorn. I have played soccer ever since I was just four years old, but my path has looked a little different than most. My hometown is pretty small and soccer teams were limited on the girls side, so I grew up playing with the boys. It quickly shaped me to be the aggressive, passionate player that I am today. 

Ever since I stepped foot on the field, I had a love and passion start to fulfill me. Over the years, I’ve grown physically and mentally as a player. I am wanting and willing to play at the collegiate level. I want to play for a school that has a good athletic and academic reputation. 

I believe I am a very coachable player. I am willing to learn new skills and set new goals for myself. There is always room for improvement is something I have always based my motivation on to get better. 

My goal after I graduate college is to help athletes with their mental game. Mental health is very important to me and I think everyone should be in the right headspace at all times, especially since competitive athletes are busy almost all months out of the year.
