Avery Hunt '28 Recruiting Profile

I believe my teammates would describe me as a leader and competitive. I'm the person on the field who helps keep the mental focus and moral up, while also being the glue on my team by bringing people together. This is a big deal because I used to be a very quiet player and kept to myself. Throughout the years I began to feel more comfortable with my teammates, but even more so, I felt a higher desire to compete and win games so I took it upon myself to "step up and speak out". My passion in soccer comes from simply playing, winning, and being a part of a team. It's fun to get outside and play!

Outside the lines, I enjoy hanging out with friends. We love going to amusement parks and have little get-togethers -- Friendsgiving, potlucks, Halloween group costumes, birthdays and going to the beach. I'm close to my family and spend time with extended family too. We have family dinners, movie nights and try to spend intentional quality time together. Our motto is "If you treat your friends better than your family, there's a problem" and we really work to build our family relationships. Respect is a big theme in our house and something that we work on outside the home and I really want in my teams, friends and circles. I consider myself loyal and really try to be a good person and fun.
