My goals are to pursue a biology degree with a pre-med focus and compete on a college soccer team. I understand the demands of each of these programs. I am, however, the type of student athlete who thrives when challenged and excels under pressure. I typically play striker and right wing, but am willing to hone my skills and play whatever position is needed.
I have participated in various club soccer programs in South Georgia from elementary school through 9th grade, but I am excited to share I earned a spot on Tallahassee, Florida’s Elite Tottenham Hotspurs 01G team for the past two seasons. This team offers the highest level of play in my area for my age bracket and provides the best opportunity for me to prepare for the next level. Last fall we competed and won first place at the Gold Level in the North Florida Premier League winning all six games. This year we are honored to compete in both the Florida State Premier League and the Southern Regional Premier League. We will also be participating in Disney’s Girls Soccer Showcase at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports this Thanksgiving and State Cup this spring.
Participating in both club and school soccer since elementary school prepared me to become a high school varsity starter during my 9th and 10th grade year. In 9th grade I was selected as a Second Team All-Region Forward and during 10th grade I earned the Offensive Player of the Year Award. My greatest strengths are athleticism, passing, anticipation, and vision. In an effort to improve and prepare for State Cup and collegiate soccer, I have been training one on one with Coach Adam Donaldson who works with the Florida State University Women’s Soccer Program and runs Dynamic Skills Soccer Coaching.
In order to prepare for the academic rigor of a biology degree, I participate in my high school’s honors track and have taken and am currently enrolled in numerous dual enrollment college courses. I am in the top 3% of my high school class, have a weighted high school GPA of 7.5 and an unweighted GPA of 3.85. I have also maintained a 4.0 in all of my college dual enrollment courses. Maintaining high academic standards has helped me earn Rotary Top Ten, National Honor Society membership, a Gold Medal in Healthcare Sciences, and 1st Place in the Academic Pentathlon.
In addition to academic and athletic efforts, I volunteer in my school and community through participation in Student Council, Cairo Youth Council, and American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
