Emily Wintrode So...Throughout my years, soccer has helped me develop not only my athletic ability, but also my character. On the field, I am the fast, competitive forward who will do anything for the goal. As an athlete, I play the game with a passion that pushes myself to my full potential. You will never see me giving less than 110%, whether it is during training or a game. I am always looking for ways to improve myself as an individual to benefit my team as a whole. Off the field, I want to be a role model for my peers and become the best person I can be, both as a student and a citizen. My ultimate goal is not to be remembered as just a soccer player, but the kind of person others look up to.
I aim to attend a university that will push me to excel in both athletics and academics. Soccer has taught me that in order to improve yourself, you must be challenged, and college is no exception. I am always looking for a challenge, therefore my intent is to play with a program that will help me play at the highest level. Academically, I plan on studying physical therapy, exercise science, or other rehabilitation/sports medicine professions once I attend college. I am currently enrolled in my school's academic STEM program, which I plan on participating in throughout my four years of high school. I also recently finished my first semester of high school with a 4.0.
