I envision my college years to be a personal growth period that directs me to a impactful and successful future. I do not want my recruitment to end in the few short years at your soccer program, but to last years to come as I plan to leave my mark as a standout athlete.
I have played soccer since I was 4 years old and truly developed a passion for the sport when I was nearly 10. I have played all over the field but my talent is showcased as an attacking or defensive mid. I can be also be seen playing center back because I am very good at winning balls from opposing teams. I keep my head up and look for my options on the field as well as communicating which helps my team work together. I have strong passes and shots as well.
I started club soccer in the 8th grade at age 13 and fell even more in love with the sport as the competitive level grew. I was new to a group of experienced club players but quickly found a home in my team. In order to adjust to high school I took a year off of club soccer to focus on my grades which have always been very important to me. However, I continued to practice and put more time into my fitness and achieved my goal of making the varsity high school team as a freshman. I since have rejoined my club team and I am working hard to learn and master new skills.
I am a very coachable player whom takes my coaches comments very seriously and puts in the effort to see results. I am involved in my teams and the practices because in order to get the most out of a session, I believe a player should be willing to ask questions and learn from their coaches.
My GPA stands at a 4.125 and I expect to raise it in my following years because I am planning to take more honors and AP courses. I maintain good grades by being organized, studying, and prioritizing my school work. I have been able to balance my school with sports for many years because I plan ahead of time and keep a steady schedule. Along with school and soccer I work part time as a hostess and I have been a part of Girl Scouts for over 10 years. I am also a very active member in my church and always make time to volunteer.
I am open to many colleges and would love to attend recruiting camps or any other opportunities your college may offer. I am looking to play at a competitive college level and would like to explore my options so I can commit to my best fit.
