Aloha Coaches,
Soccer has been a fundamental part of my life since childhood. The very first time i stepped foot in a university I was 5 years old, and I told my parents “I want to come to a school just like this!” Going to college and playing soccer at the collegiate level was not just a fleeting thought but a seed planted and an aspiration that flourished over time. My dedication to soccer has instilled a strong sense of disciple and perseverance not just for the sport but extends into academic pursuits.
I have strong technical skills, can anticipate passes, read the game effectively, and position myself strategically to disrupt opponents' attacks. I am adept at delivering both short and long passes and can effectively switch the point of attack to create scoring opportunities. The thrill of competition, the camaraderie of teamwork, and the continuous drive for improvement have helped shape me on and off the pitch. I strive to be the hardest working player and recruit you will find.
In the classroom, I study hard and maintain a high GPA balancing between my academics and extracurricular activities to be successful in both has helped me to prepare for the rigors of a college athlete. Inducted into the National Honor Society, I am committed to academic excellence, leadership, character and service. I also have done volunteer work for the past 2 years at the Maui Food Bank, Relay for Life (American Cancer Society) and Alzheimer's Association. Volunteering gives me great joy to be able to help people, learn new skills, and gives me the opportunity to contribute to something bigger than myself.
I desire to pursue a college education that will equip me with a fulfilling career while continuing to challenge myself to develop as an athlete by competing at the highest collegiate soccer level possible. My hope is that I will become a great role model to my peers, inspire others to persevere in their goals despite obstacles or statistics, and to make my family proud.
