My name is Sofia Mullen and I am currently a junior at De La Salle Institute and play for Pre-Academy Chicago City Soccer. I believe that I can prove to be a good fit for a number of reasons. Being born in Puerto Rico and having lived two years in Spain has helped me build many solid life experiences. One of my highlights of these experiences was playing two years for the Atletico de Madrid girls Soccer Academy team. I learned al lot about how the European style of play is and also played on my own grammar schools soccer team being the only girl. One of my highlights for High School thus far has been being a Captain and leader and also scoring a long shot from 40 yard out to win the game 1-0 in the last few minutes of the game. I have been blessed to be fast and lave a long endurance but I work hard too and that allowed me to be selected in 2019 for the Girls U16 Olympic Development Program team. Also, connecting with my teammates and bringing out the best of each of us is always the key to success as a team. As a junior now, I am proud to be part of the Spanish Club, Lasallian youth Club, the British Club and Honor roll. I also work when I am not busy with sports. I love to stay active and understand that effective communication and playing hard will keep pushing me to the next level. Hope to meet you soon!
