I played basketball and soccer at the varsity level all four years of high school, and I also played volleyball in the fall for two years. My main ambition as a transfer from Lewis University is to play either soccer or basketball at a competitive collegiate level.
I am majoring in environmental studies with an emphasis on sustainability and double minor in Spanish and a law-related minor. I received a 1420 on my SAT. Outside of sports and the classroom, I was the president of our school's Key Club my senior year, which I had participated in since my freshman year, and I was a leader at our school’s FCA program for two years. I have also been fortunate enough to peer help for my high school's PAES program, which helps special needs students become more independent and learn the skills needed for future careers. Coaching is something I can see myself doing in the future. I have been a coach at my middle school and high school basketball camps, as well as Curley Boo Johnson's Skills for Life basketball camp. I was also fortunate enough to have received the American Legion award my senior year as well as the ImpactLife Achievement award for making six blood donations before graduating. I love volunteering and going on mission trips with my church's Youth Group. My faith is a large part of who I am, and I credit all of my success to God.
I would like to be a part of an athletic program that has coaches who push me past my limits but also have mutually respectful relationships with their players. Academically, I would like a school that holds me to a high standard, so I can succeed in my career in the future.
