Abigail O'Connor '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Abigail O'Connor and I am a 17 year old, 5'9" goalkeeper.

        As a college player I am looking for a women's soccer program that will challenge me often, support my passion for the game and encourage me to be better as a player every day. When I am on the field for games, practice, or workouts I am always mentally locked in. I am focused and I come to work hard and improve each day. I push myself to be better then I was the day before, while still enjoying  time with my teammates. As a goalkeeper I am also very vocal on the field. I direct my teammates confidently, using my strong leadership skills to organize players around the field to create a strong defensive/offensive shape. My leadership skills are also applied in practices to keep teammates on task. We all do better when we are moving toward the same goals.

        As a student I am organized with my work as well as diligent. I truly enjoy learning and find school to be interesting and a big part of my life. For a major, I am interested in business, accounting and finance programs. I like to learn challenging new things and I hold myself to a high standard. My school work is always high quality, and I turn in work I am proud of. I take school very seriously and prioritize studying and homework to ensure I continue to do well. 

        Becoming a college level student athlete is a new, exciting challenge and opportunity that I am looking forward to! I am excited to push myself each day and to join a team focused on becoming better people, students and athletes.
