Sydney Gabbard '22 Recruiting Profile

I have only been playing soccer for 6 years, however in that short time I have worked very hard to become better in all areas of my game.  My strong work ethic, and the ability to be a great leader and teammate are two of the unique things that I can bring to any club/team. I refuse to be outworked in practice, in the weight room, or on the field. I believe a team that is a close "family" off the the field,  will usually perform better on the field regardless of any situation. 

I want to major in either Pre-Veterinary, or Forensic Science. My goal is to find a college that fits me academically, while also matching my desire to find the best possible culture in a soccer program. A club coach once told me something that always stays with me, he said " Winning is always everyone’s goal, but losing is never really a failure so long as you learn something".  I always try to learn from my failures and/or losses in soccer and in life, so that I can continue to become an even better person and player. If given the opportunity to play for a college, I promise to always give that program my absolute best both on the pitch and in the classroom.
