My name is Brinkley Strickland and I am a junior graduating in 2027. I attend Bondurant-Farrar High School and I have kept a GPA of 4.0 throughout my first 2 years of High School. I started running track in 7th grade and I have played soccer since I was 8 years old. I have recently decided to stop playing soccer and give all my focus to track. Since I started running track in middle school, I've developed a deep love for the sport and the training process. I've made many improvements since I've started and I see many more opportunities ahead. I love setting goals and doing everything I can to achieve them. I'm a dedicated and hardworking athlete who strives to improve every day. I'm very coachable and always seek feedback for improvement. My strongest events and the ones I've been mainly running since I've started track are the 400 and 800, but I am looking to grow in the longer distances. Next track season I want to put more focus on the 1500, and I am also starting cross country in the fall. In the 2024 track season I qualified for Drake Relays in the 4x4 and qualified for 4 events at state (4x800, Distance Medley, 4x400, 800). I medaled in three of those events at state. In the 2025 track season, I qualified for 3 events at state (4x400, Distance Medley, 800) and medaled in all 3 of them. I bring intensity to training, leadership to my team, and focus to every race. I also hold myself to high academic standards and balance my schoolwork with my athletic schedule. I want to go into the medical field, and I am doing everything I can in high school to prepare for that, such as taking college courses that my school offers. I have earned Academic All-State for the 2024 and 2025 track season. I am looking for a college program where I can compete at a high level, contribute to a strong team culture, and grow as both an athlete and student.
