My parents always told me that school came first so I didn't start playing until the age of 9. I then turned to playing on a traveling coed team coached by my father to keep improving my game. Then a rough play in a championship game resulted in a torn acl and cracked meniscus in my left knee at 14, but I came back to play the next summer. About a year later, there were complications and I underwent surgery again to remove excess scar tissue. Following this my father helped me start up a girls futsal traveling team as a part of his academy Denison United FC to better my speed and footwork. This lead to me thriving my sophomore high school season. Then, during the 5th game of my junior season, I tore my other acl. I'm currently in physical therapy dedicating myself towards returning to play my senior year. I belive the determination and resilience these injuries have taught me makes me a better person on and off the field. Whether it's in class or on the field, I give everything I can into making it my best.
