Personal Statement
I strive to compete at the college level for soccer not only because of my love of the game and my talent but also because of my level of hard work and commitment over the course of 10-plus years of playing soccer.
I would be a great asset to any college team because I am very committed and put in hours of training whenever possible. In addition, I am able to balance academics (4.28 weighted GPA) and soccer while practicing for over 12 hours a week. My course load consists of most honors classes and practice after school. I also train with Leo Gibson and do Soccer Fit with Shon Jones on a daily basis.
I bring in a positive personality while being able to focus and learn during any teachable moment. I am very versatile and able to play many positions. I can adapt very easily to different games and formations. Recently, I was chosen to attend the interregional showcase in Memphis for the Kansas Olympic Development program, and I have been playing on my club team (KC Fusion 07 ECNL RL). These opportunities have not only allowed me to expand my skill set but also helped me become a leader both on and off the field.
