- 2022 Highlights
Personal Statement
Hello Coaches,
My name is Addilynn Fourqurean. I'm a Junior (2022-2023) at University Heights Academy, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old and have played club soccer since U9. I live on a farm in Cadiz, Kentucky and currently play for Indiana Fire Juniors South ECRL. Since I have lived on a farm my whole life, I'm not scared of hard work.
My love for soccer started at my first YMCA game and I have loved it ever since. In the past few years, my commitment for the game intensified so I started with a personal trainer and in the summer months I do strength training. My first club team was Ambush in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Once my family and I realized that I needed more of a challenge, I moved clubs to Armada FC in Nashville, Tennessee where I started attacking mid for two years. After the club broke up, I moved clubs to Clarksville Soccer Club where I started every game as defensive mid. My coach at Clarksville Soccer Club said that the defensive mid is the quarterback of the team by controlling the speed of the game, distributing the ball to make key plays and even creating goals for myself. In Club games, I am the leader of the back line. I communicate with the back line when it is the best time to get forward or when to hold the ball for possession. In addition to that, I’m also the playmaker for my club team. I tell the team when it is a good time to make a certain play on a free kick or a corner kick. While playing club, I also played with the Kentucky ODP team. I have been playing ODP for 4 years now. I have been selected for the subregional team. In the subregional games, I scored 2 goals while playing as the 8. For my school, I play JV team and Varsity. In my 8th grade year, I scored in every game and walked away with 2 hat tricks. On Varsity, my 9th grade year, I was a starter and the top scorer, and I had several assists. I play right forward and scored 5 goals, the most of any freshman on the team, in the shortened season. My sophomore year proved to be very successful with stats of 8 goals and 7 assist. I am a very versatile player with high energy and strength. I have played every position on the field except goalie. I joined Indiana Fire South ECRL in 2022 in hopes for an even higher level training environment and exposure to college coaches.
I love soccer, but school comes first. In my freshman and sophomore year, I finished first in my class. Completing my schoolwork and playing soccer has made me very good at time management. Time management, self-motivation, and being driven for success is how I know I am ready to continue my soccer career.
In conclusion, I have set a goal to make it to the collegiate level of soccer and I plan to fulfil that goal. I look forward to being an asset to the team. I hope to see you soon future coaches!
