My name is Taylor Duncan from Lexington, Kentucky. I am in the class of 2027 and would like to play soccer in college. I am looking to find the right school for me both academically and athletically.
I play for Lexington Sporting Club (LSC). Last season (2024-25), I was a starter on Lexington Sporting Club's 2009 Girls Academy team. I also played several games with one of LSC's 2008 teams. As a freshman in the fall of 2023 and a sophomore in the fall of 2024, I was a starter for the Henry Clay High School Girls’ Varsity team that was runner-up in the 42nd District and advanced to play in the 11th Region Tournament.
Until recently I had primarily played as an outside back for my club and high school teams. Last season, I began playing forward for LSC, and I was the team's co-leading scorer for the regular season. In addition to playing forward and outside back, I have experience playing center back and midfield.
On the field, I am versatile and can play multiple positions. I have a good first touch, solid judgment, good vision and field awareness. My coaches and teammates would describe me as a good teammate, that is dedicated, reliable, and coachable. I am comfortable with feedback and am committed to working hard and continuing to get better.
In the classroom at Henry Clay High School, I have a 4.0 grade point average and have taken several advanced and AP classes. Last year, I received an Academic Achievement Award (All A's) and was named Student of the Month in my Advanced Journalism class for January 2025. My freshman year, I received awards for Academic Achievement (all As), the Advanced Government Award, and the Physics Award. I was also named First Team Academic All-State by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. I plan on taking the ACT in late 2025 or early 2026.
When I am not playing soccer, I like hanging out with my family and friends, taking care of my pets (1 dog and 3 cats), making craft projects, and baking.
Thank you for considering me for your school! I hope to hear from you soon.
