My name is Charlotte Little, and I will graduate from Notre Dame Academy in Northern Kentucky with the class of 2026. I was a starting 6, 8, and 10 for my high school’s JV soccer team. I play for Mercury SC North during the club season and also play the 6, 8, and 10. My speed and endurance make me an effective player at center mid. If needed, I may also play as a 2 or 3. I am a flexible and versatile player, open to playing new positions and contributing to my team’s success.
When it comes to academics, I hold a 4.143 GPA. Even in grade school, I have always held myself up to the standard of keeping my grades above a 94 average. I have accomplished this in the past three years. In addition to soccer and education, I work backstage for my school's theater program and hold a leadership position as head of the Scenic Department. My time management skills have increasingly improved since then, as I have had to balance training, games, grades, and having a social life.
After a hard hit, my coach once told me, “You play like you’re 5'9”, 140 pounds.” I play fearlessly and without hesitation. I may not be a flashy player, but I contribute on the field in other effective ways. I find open lanes and pass the ball with precision. As quickly as I see the field pressing forward, I am also quick to transition and defend when turnovers happen and win the 50/50 ball when challenged.
As a center mid, I pride myself on reading plays and breaking the flow of the opposing team. I see the next pass and act quickly to be a step ahead of the play. Lastly, I am a vocal player. I communicate what options are available, what players need to be marked, and where I am on the field to support my teammates. I also work to apply feedback from my coaches and trainers to apply it to my gameplay.
With my flexibility and experience, I can adapt quickly to new positions on the field and will continue to work hard to succeed after high school.
