Everyone competing at this high level is a great athlete, but I feel like I bring the "extras" to the game and the team that are required for success. My coaches tell me I bring the energy, I go into beast mode, and I'm fun to watch in the goal. I think that my confidence, drive, leadership, and intelligence make me an impact player, and my goal is to make an impact on the field at a national level and then make an impact in life when the ball stops bouncing. I've been bouncing a soccer ball for 11 years, and I cannot imagine not playing and competing. It's what I love to do. I didn't start as a goalkeeper. I was a striker. Those technical skills have served me well in competitions where keepers are required to play defense and offense, and I've scored winning penalty kicks right before blocking a goal. While I enjoy being versatile, my heart is in the challenge and the rush that comes with goal keeping.
