Personal Statement
My name is Pamela. I am the all around student/athlete. I carry a 3.86 GPA in an advanced curriculum. Along with having good grades, I am a National Honor Society inductee. For 2023-24 season, I have earned a roster spot and will travel 3.5 hours one-way to practice and play with HTX 05/06G GA based in Houston. For the 2022-23 season, I played with a team out of Baton Rouge (3.5 hours away from home) to play with the newly formed LATDP Elite (Girls Academy) team. From 2019-2022, I have worked my way up through the "ranks" of soccer levels from playing with Dallas Solar (Frontier Development League FDL) to playing for Dallas Sting Black ECNL-RL to now playing for the Girls Academy for the past 2 years! In 2020, I was on the State ODP team along with playing for my local club. Every game is an “away” game for my family and I. Soccer is my passion and my parents support me in me trying to reach my goal of playing at the next level. I have been a multi-sport athlete in earlier years. In addition to my club soccer, I was starting varsity soccer letterman as a 7th grader where I was the leading scorer on my team and earned 1st Team All-District and 2nd Team All-Metro as an Attacking Midfielder (all as 7th grader). I was on the varsity powerlifting team in 2021 where I placed 3rd in State in my weight class and helped my team win the Overall Team Powerlifting Div IV State Championship. I also lettered (as an 8th grader) on the varsity softball team as a guest/pinch runner where we the 2021 Div IV Softball State Championship. That was first season ever to play softball. My dad (who played D2 football) tells me that I am learning at a young age what it means to be a student/athlete in how I am learning to juggle academics, travel and athletics at a high level. When the time comes, I welcome the opportunity to discuss how I might be an asset to your program.
