I developed a passion for soccer at a young age, I started playing when I was 4 years old. When I started I played the field, mostly forward and sometimes midfield, until my 2011-2012 season. I was volunteered into playing goalie and it turned out I was actually decent at that position. In 2012-2013 U12 Girls C2 (Pearl River Lady Vipers) I was the fulltime keeper when we won Louisiana State Cup. In 2016-2017 at 16 years old, I played full time keeper for U18 Girls C2 (Slidell Girls Lightning) and guest played 50% keeper and 50% forward for U16 Girls C1 (Slidell Girls Gators) we finished 3rd in Louisiana State Cup. As the starting keeper for Slidell High School Girls Varsity 2016-2017 season we went to the State playoffs. I have quick reflexes, good coordination, can jump, not afraid to get skinned up and mentally I can see the game developing in front of me. At times, I still play either left or right forward and can fill in as attacking midfielder. I have a knack for finishing plays on the field.
As for academics, I finished my sophomore year with a 4.07 GPA. My parents have always stayed on me about my grades but I strive for all A’s to show myself what I’m really capable of. I only took 1 honors class my past 4 years, but my junior year I’m taking several honors classes and one dual enrollment course.
I’m involved with my school, but I could be more involved. I played varsity for the girls’ soccer team my freshmen and sophomore year. I was in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) my freshman year and I will return back my junior year. I was inducted into the Beta Club my sophomore year and will be pursuing induction into the National Honors Society.
My parents have raised me as a Christian and have tried hard to instill in me morals, values and teach me ethics. They have worked hard to impart in me what it is to show southern hospitality to others and live life as a respectable lady. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hunting, and fishing with my dad. Cook outs , either BBQ, frying, or boiling something is the best way of eating. I enjoy being on the water, boating and soaking up some rays. Not much is better than hanging on the beach with family and friends, except for family vacations to experience new cultures and witness natural beauties.
My dreams would be to play professional Soccer, but as a life goal I want to go into the medical field and attend dentistry school. I have had a passion for being an orthodontist since I got my first set of braces. If I become a professional soccer player I will definitely have my own dental practice on the side. I want to make good money so I can achieve all of my dreams: donate to charities like St. Jude’s, give back to my school and community, and start my own charity organization for kids who get bullied and be able to reach out to them. I was inspired to do this because my little brother has dealt with being bullied. I want to serve a good purpose in life, help make a positive mark, and change people’s lives for the better.
