I stepped on the pitch for the first time when I was four years old. Growing up in a soccer family, I was mentored by my father and brother. Ever since then I have aspired to continue playing at the highest level.
My best attributes on the field come with my very high soccer IQ. My knowledge of the game is extremely high which gives me a great vision of the field. I have the ability to break the lines of defense with dangerous through balls and feel comfortable with the ball at my foot, ultimately giving me the power to control the midfield. I have a great shot and can use it from 30 yards out, as well as specialize in corner kicks and free kicks. I also believe that constantly communicating and leading on the field is important to any team. With these leadership qualities, I am able to lead a team by example. I also believe I am a very coachable player and push myself to be the best I can be, combining strength and conditioning training to my soccer training.
Academically, I attend Phillips Academy Andover which has been voted the best high school in the country for the past 3 years. Here I am challenged everyday in order to succeed. I work extremely to keep my grades high and I want to attend a school that will challenge me academically and further my learning.
Overall, I can not see myself without soccer in college. I believe the perfect school will push me to succeed in the classroom as well as on the pitch, shaping me to an even stronger student-athlete.
