Personal Statement

My goal is to play college soccer and take it to the next level. I am trying to see how far I can make it in my soccer career. I think I am a very hard worker and have been told by my coaches and teammates I am the "Energizer bunny". I always try my best and love playing the game. I am very shy, but once I get to know people I am a ball of energy and can make people laugh. I love having fun when I am playing, and try not to let my mindset get negative where my performance could go down just because I did one wrong thing. I've gotten to the place that I can learn from those mistakes! I love taking opponents on 1 v 1 and my dribbling skills and my agility are my strengths, along with my conditioning. I work really hard in school and have had to overcome learning challenges. I believe in a growth mindset and I have risen to every challenge I’ve faced. I know I will thrive and excel in a highly competitive soccer and academic environment because I have the work ethic to do so. No one works harder than me, and I run down every ball to the last minute of the game. I cannot stress enough that I work harder than anyone else, I won't be outworked academically or on the soccer field. Anyone who has coached me or taught me will verify that. My transcript reflects the efforts of a really hard worker who has had to overcome a learning challenge. I have a communication disorder and an IEP that has helped strengthened my skills. It is challenging for me to express myself and what I am thinking. I have the right answers and ideas, but expressing it can be difficult at times and sometimes I am misunderstood for that. I have overcome every challenge you have faced. Being small but playing big, making ODP, making an Elite club team, being recommended for the Girls Academy team, and doing all that coming from a small soccer community on an island where there is no high level girls soccer. I am a great teammate. All my teammates love me because I am kind, make people laugh, work my butt off, and will literally sacrifice myself for my team to succeed. Again, anyone who has coached you will verify this.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
