Alexa Morey '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Alexa Morey and I attend Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, Michigan. I am a center defender on the Women’s Varsity Soccer team. I have been on varsity since my freshman year. Freshman season was definitely a challenging one for me. I have a spinal injury and I was cleared to play a week after season started and I was thrown into a position I had no experience with, but I was very determined to learn the position and become comfortable with it, so I took on the challenge. Dedicating myself everyday to the sport and working on my skills and making myself a better player. One thing I focus on for my team is making sure we have team chemistry on and off the field. Being a captain, I took on the challenge to help my team accomplish our goals. This 2020-2021 season was one of the best seasons we have had as a team. One thing about me is that I am hard working and very determined. I don’t quit playing, training, and challenging myself until an arm or leg falls off. I play for my team because I am apart of something bigger than myself.
