Personal Statement
It has been a huge step moving into a new sport and learning everything I have learned in the past year and a half. It has been difficult to learn so much so fast. I started in the fall of 2018 on a small rec league trying to learn all the basics. Going into my Sophomore year I also played my high school season in the spring learning more about positioning and touches on the ball. It was a huge learning experience. It was very frustrating knowing that I was not as experienced as my teammates, which made me work and push harder to become better. This summer I was asked to be a part of North Storm soccer league and it has been the best opportunity I could have ever taken. I feel like every practice and game I am improving.
As a player and a student I am very teachable and coachable. Being positive is something that helps me get through a lot of obstacles. I believe if you have negative thoughts you will have a negative outcome. My goals on the field are very similar to my goals in the classroom. I strive to be the best player and student that I can be. I find it very important to encourage my teammates at any time they may need it. I have been told by many coaches in the past that I am a huge team player and that they wish they could duplicate me. Academically I have been on the Honor Roll as far back as I can remember. My goals for the rest of high school is to keep my GPA at a 3.5 and above.
