Megan Yanity '25 Recruiting Profile

     Hello, my name is Megan Yanity and I am in the graduating class of 2025. I have been playing soccer for nearly ten years and I play center-attacking midfielder and left and right wing.  I am currently playing for Detroit City Football Club West, and this is my second year with the team. I always strive to do my best during practice, games, and conditioning. 

     I made varsity soccer my freshman year and was a starter for the team and an important aspect of our games. At the end of the season, I won the KLAA All-Conference Honorable Mention award, and this past year (sophomore year) I became the varsity captain. I have also made it onto the cover of the June 2022 Sports Illustrated issue and won the All-Conference award my sophomore year.  Even though soccer is very important to me, school has always been my first priority. I have always been in accelerated classes and I am also doing AP classes. 

     Looking forward, I would like to go to a college that has some forensic science or criminal forensics degree. I think a larger college would be nice, and something with a little bit more competition.
