Hi, my name is Lesley Tenesaca. I am a senior at Cristo Rey Jesuit Highschool. I want to become a nurse, but I also want to be able to play college soccer and then hopefully go pro. I have been playing soccer since I was five, meaning I have been playing soccer for 12 years now. I started playing soccer with the MTA club team at the age of five; I then decided to join the Blackhawks soccer club at seven years old; I then started playing with the 2005 girls as a 2006, and I continued making the top teams, which challenged me more which was precisely what I was looking for! But then, at the age of 12, I joined my age group and continued making the top team and am now playing in the premier team in the NPL League. I'm the type of person who likes to challenge myself to become the best version of myself. "There is always room for improvement," so I train individually and as a team! When I made varsity my first year of high school, I decided to work even harder to be a starter and perform at my best in each game! I started to train even more individually. My dad also trained me, and in my first varsity games, I played very well and was the starter my freshman and sophomore years (I started every game both years.) I am also the starter on my club team, Blackhawks. Still, I always look for where I can improve by learning from my mistakes in the field. I reflect on each game to see what I can do better in the next, which helps me perform better each game! I continued training individually to become the best, which allowed me to get top assists and all-conference player, an outstanding achievement since I got one my freshman and sophomore year! I believe training as a team is essential but also, training individually and going to the gym has helped me a lot more to continue improving each game! Although the game results can't always go your way, I believe we win as a team and lose as a team, we all make mistakes, but we learn from those mistakes and fix them, which allows us to learn from them and improve!
