Reese Hamilton '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Reese Hamilton. I am a junior student and soccer player at Helias Catholic High School in Jefferson City, Missouri. I have played soccer since I was 4 years old, initially in recreational soccer and the past eight years as a club player. During my club experience I have been trained by quality coaches, not only for my primary team, but also as a guest player for various other teams in central-Missouri and Kansas City. My primary club team has won many gold division regional tournaments. As a freshman in high school I gained varsity soccer experience, playing in every varsity game as an attacking midfielder or forward, and as a sophomore started all games as a left wing or forward.  I contributed to my team winning two district titles, and look forward to a deep playoff run my junior year. I feel my soccer assets are maintaining possession, creative ball handling and footwork, an ability to distribute the ball to connect passes and scoring opportunities, and my speed in the open field. I am told that I am a very coachable player and have a high soccer I.Q. I enjoy the camaraderie of being part of a soccer team and am considered a good-humored, enthusiastic team mate.

While it is important that I make a positive impact on my soccer team, it is equally important for me to represent my institution academically. I currently have a 3.85 GPA and plan to maintain it during my high school career while taking a number of AP classes. I have been an honor roll student throughout my middle school and high school career. My extra-curricular activities include Student Council, Varsity Golf Team, Tae Kwan Do (second degree black belt), and assisting my high school coach and local club as a youth soccer trainer. Additionally, I take advantage of my high school strength and conditioning program in-season and off-season. During the summers I strength train with a personal trainer twice a week. In my free time I enjoy working as a youth soccer referee (certified since 2012), and hope to be an assistant counselor at my youth church camp this summer.
