Personal Statement
My name is Reese Potts. I’m a goalkeeper, and when I get out of high school I want to play college soccer and major in medicine, however difficult that may be. I’ve played soccer since 2010 and have had many coaches and mentors I look up to. I kept A Honors my freshman year and am taking all honors classes and am part of Scholars Academy in my high school. My freshman year I kept a high a average, and a steady 4.6 GPA. I work very hard to succeed academically. Going into the summer I have almost 30 service hours.
My soccer team won the Missouri State Cup in Fall 2019, I played in the Midwest Conference Club v Club League last year, which is very tough competition. This year I will play goalkeeper for Lou Fusz 05 GA, a very competitive Girls Academy team. I am a leader on and off the field and have a great relationship with my teammates and coaches. I am an aggressive goalkeeper and a strong communicator on the field. Aside from shot-stopping abilities, what sets me apart as a goalkeeper are my foot skills, my physical strength in kicks and punts, and my ability to make breakaway saves. My ultimate goal for the future is to Major in medicine whether it be surgery or pediatrics, and I want a team that will support me in those academic goals.
