My name is Loren Charron, and I’m currently a junior at Hopkinton High School, NH. Hopkinton is a small town and we compete in Division III NHIAA. Soccer is something that I’ve dedicated my middle and high school career to, and I’m very passionate about continuing my love for the game through college. Throughout the years, I’ve played for numerous girls' teams as well as boys and co-ed teams. Playing with both the boys and girls helped shape me into the aggressive, strong player I am today. I’ve competed at the varsity level since my Freshman year, where we’ve been Division III State Champions for the past 3 years. Freshman year I was a starter at the outside right-back position and forced 10 defensive shutouts. Sophomore year I made the switch to forward, where I took my speed and field vision to score 18 goals and 11 assists in 20 games. This was a banner year for me. I was awarded 2nd team All-State, and we defended our state title. My strengths continue to be my speed and dangerous crosses along with my 1v1 battles. I have a vision on the field and when I see open space, I take it. I am very coachable with a take-charge attitude along with various strengths. I know I would be a good asset to any team, and I’m a teammate who takes pride in leading by example. Playing soccer at the collegiate level is the perfect opportunity for me to continue to explore my strengths, as well as inspire others to do what they love!
Academically, I’m a strong student who loves to challenge myself by taking some of the hardest courses my school has to offer. I’ve been enrolled in various honors and advanced placement courses and continue to maintain a strong GPA. I am a respected figure in my community, who loves to inspire and lend a hand to others whenever I have the opportunity to do so. Finding a college that fits both my academic and athletic goals is very important to me, and I’m eager to start my journey.
