My name is Katelyn ("KT") Armstrong. I am currently a senior at Pembroke Academy and I have a strong desire to play at the collegiate level my next four years. I am a motivated athlete who gives 110% every time I step on the field. I will show up for my team every day and work hard to continually grow as a person, a student and as a player. Soccer has always been a driving force for me and has taught me life-long skills such as - leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, and the ups and downs of victory and defeat. These are skills that contribute to success and ones that I will take with me long after the soccer field. I would love the opportunity to learn more about your soccer program and how I can be an asset and contribute to the success of the team! Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile!
Clubs: I have played for Seacoast United in the past. However, this past June I tried out for both Seacoast and FC Stars and was offered a contract from both. Seacoast United offered a contract on their DPL team and FC Stars on their Elite team. I decided to switch it up this year and will be playing for FC Stars. I am looking forward to being a part of this team, embracing new challenges and building my skills.
Below is a quoted portion of a reference letter from my Seacoast United coach last season...
"It was a privilege to have KT on the team. She came to us with playing
experience mostly higher up the pitch where her pace creates separation, but
she is a versatile athlete who added some much-needed fortification at the back
for us. She is positionally astute, fearless in the tackle and had a good
understanding of our team principles once in possession.
KT is a positive personality and her value to both my coaching experience and
her teammates overall enjoyment of their collective time together was palpable
and deeply appreciated.
Premier and DPL level club soccer at Seacoast United demands a high level of
personal organization, commitment, work ethic and resilience. In addition,
players must be punctual, accountable, mentally, and physically prepared for
training and games.
Few players represented these values more than KT last season and I would
add leadership and “growth mindset” to her list.
I offer a strong recommendation to any college or university who is considering
an application for acceptance from or offering a roster spot on their soccer team
to Katelyn Armstrong."
