Sophia Patel '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophia Patel and I'm a center defensive mid. I fell in love with the game at 4 years old watching Lionel Messi do the impossible, and perform magic with that left foot. Since then, it's not too often you'd find me away from a soccer ball. I push myself both on the field and in the classroom, as I do strive to succeed in all my classes. This is thanks to my parents and an older brother who I look up to as my role models and who inspire me to work hard and take pride in my accomplishments, as well as acknowledge my failures. This sport has taught me life skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication, and more. It's also given me so many friends who I now call family, as well as some unforgettable memories.  I am grateful to say that I've been chosen as one of the captains of my club team for 2 years now, and I take pride in wearing that band every single game.
