My name is Naomi Vassell and I have been playing soccer for 9 years. I started playing recreational soccer and soon after transitioned to club soccer. Playing soccer has given me motivation, discipline, and determination. I have always enjoyed being on a soccer team, as it makes me feel purposeful, accomplished, and have shown me how to build healthy bonds with my teammates. I have aspirations to play college level soccer and develop my confidence, skills, and mindset for the game. I am able to adapt easily and quickly to new environments, and have always been a team player. I play in a way that benefits to my teammates, as I am always looking for that open player to pass the ball to, or being the extra support a player might need. On the pitch, I have played multiple positions on different teams at different levels, I am known to have the ability to function in different roles. I have played center back, center midfield, full back on both the left and right, and outside midfield on both the left and right. Coaches have always noticed and used my quickness and tackling ability in situations where it is needed. Technically and tactically, I am above average for my age. Academically, I have been maintaining a 3.5 GPA, and been on Honor Roll for the past 6 marking periods. I am also enrolled in several honors classes, and have been a member of the National Honor Society, and National Society of High School Scholars.
