Samantha Arevalo '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Samantha Arevalo, class of 2026! I come from East Brunswick, NJ. I am a first generation Honduran-American.  I’ve been playing soccer since I was 8 years old. My teams are Match Fit Shore ECRL, NJ ODP, and East Brunswick varsity girls soccer. I train at Ap2t outside of academy and school. I am an outside forward (winger) on all 3 teams that I play on and the occasional center forward. I truly enjoy playing this position as I am able to showcase my speed but challenge my ability to dribble, pass, and connect play with my teammates. Recently I was invited to play at the "Rising Stars Showcase" that highlighted key players in my county. 

I have a 4.13 weighted GPA. I strive to take the most academically challenging courses. I take all honors and an AP. I am an active member of my school's German Honors Society, Class Council, Student Council, and Yearbook Club. I would like to major in law or political science. I really enjoy learning about the history and processes of government. I have aspirations of becoming an immigration attorney and work closely with the Latino community. I speak fluent Spanish and am learning German as well. 

I am also part of my school track team. I run the 55m, 200m, 400m, 55 hurdles, shuttle hurdles, 400 hurdles, and multiple relay teams. Winter 2022-2023 I was part of the team that took my county’s Greater Middlesex Conference title. Spring 2022-2023 I took first place in 400 Hurdles at GMC’s. Winter 2023-2024 my shuttle relay team made a qualifying time for New Balance and Nike Nationals. My 4x4 team and I ran a nationals qualifying time as well for the spring 2024 season. We broke the school record as well. Track is my second sport that I enjoy and work on my speed to contribute to my soccer season.
