I am someone who loves to compete. I use my passion for competition to challenge myself and push myself to new levels. I set goals, and my strong work ethic, discipline, and commitment propel me to improve myself and my skills. Soccer has given me exhilarating opportunities to compete. It also has given me the opportunity to meet amazing people, lead, and put teamwork and collaboration into action. I love the camaraderie of going into battle with my teammates and working together to succeed.
Of course, competition sometimes means failure. These failures are difficult, but I refocus and look within myself to see how I can improve. Tough losses can impart important lessons, and I have grown not only as an athlete, but as a person when games are lost. Over the years, I have reflected on my opportunities for improvement and focused on enhancing certain skills, endurance, and strategy. At times, my team and I have come from behind to win, and I used my resilience and never-give-up attitude to drive myself and my teammates to keep battling. My resilience and tenacity have grown stronger from soccer and from being a 2nd-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do where physical and mental strength is important.
I am looking for a school with strong academics and strong athletics. As a multi-sport athlete, I know I have the talent, strong values, and character to make an immediate impact on your program and to succeed. I look forward to using my athletic skills, along with my strong work ethic, commitment, and leadership skills, to be a leader for your team and to compete at the highest levels.
