Sophia Lara '24 Recruiting Profile

If there is one word, I can use to describe myself it is determined.  Ever since, I can remember whether with school or sports, I have always been determined to give the best of me. I have played various sports throughout the years but the one that made me feel as a leader, team player, and overall best athlete is soccer. Soccer is my passion and it gives me the drive to get out of my comfort zone, whether it is on or off the field. This has led me to become a team captain and support for my teammates. By becoming captain it has helped me understand responsibility and teamwork. However, my overall goal for soccer is to be able to play in a great college. 

Off the field, my goal is to attend the best University in which I can study medicine. Since I was a young child, I had a passion to help others and that is where my desire to become a doctor came from.  This is where my skills of being a leader on the soccer field will help me be passionate physician. If given the opportunity, I will be dedicated on the field and in the classroom.
