Personal Statement

My name is Martiale but people call me Blessing. I had a passion for soccer ever since I can remember, however, I didn't have the opportunity to play in a club like most kids. So I had to stick with playing soccer for fun. It wasn't until I got into high school that I was able to play properly(If that is the word to use). I always wanted to play soccer in college but never knew if I could. Freshman year I figured that I was pretty good at being a defender, then this year I found out I was pretty good at being a keeper. I never really got the chance to expand on that since my coach needed me on the field. I have come to realize that God does everything for a reason so if I play soccer in college I would be very happy. I realized that people go through things that shape them into the people they are so I think this is all the beginning to something greater. I tend to be the player who always looks out for my team, when we win it's as a team when we lose it's as a team, I guess I'm the one who reminds them of that sometimes. I want the chance to continue to do that in college even if it may be as a walk-on.
