I was born small; a tiny premature baby weighing only 4 lbs . I struggled to breathe, to gain weight , to thrive . From that day on, I learned to be a fighter , to work hard to thrive and achieve .
I have fostered that fighting spirit throughout my childhood and into young adulthood on and off the soccer pitch . Academics have never come easy to me . I have always worked hard to achieve good grades . When I struggled , I fought hard to overcome any obstacles . The same can be said when it comes to soccer. I fight to be the best possible version of myself that I can be.
I know what struggle is . From being born too small, to processing my father's cancer diagnosis , to the loss of my grandfather this year , I have felt struggle . Through it all I chose to fight . I will bring that fighting spirit and desire to thrive to any classroom I am in and any team I am on.
