Kayla Bancroft '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a young, dedicated athlete with concentration in soccer. I also enjoy playing basketball, lacrosse and bowling. I have received MVP in both basketball and lacross in Middle School. I tend to be taller than my peers (9th grade) at 5'7" and have held the record for the fastest girl in Middle School for the last two years. I earned the Presidential Fitness award also. I always try to give 110% to the sport I am playing by attending every practice, game or training available. I often stay after to play with the boys, lift weights or help the coach. I believe hard work is the way to achieve my goals in life. My favorite soccer season is Summer Select where my team JDI Battle of Monmouth Black Cats ended our 2010 summer with a record of 15-1-1 with (3) Championships and (1) Finalist. Our two summer record stands at 23-2-4 with (5) Championships and (2) Finalists out of (7) total tournaments. My club team in Millstone (Hurricanes) finished high in the divisions of our League and moved onto another more competitive league. I also like to keep my foot on the ball with an indoor winter league, as well as personal training that I have been doing since I was 10. I enjoy refereeing younger teams and would like to coach a young recreational level team in the near future. I organized and ran a soccer clinic for 6-8 year olds for my Girl Scout Silver Award Project. I have also participated in the ELKS Soccer Shoot Out and was a District and State level finalist. I am not sure where I want to go to college or what my major might be at this point in my life, so I am open to all schools right now. I would love to play soccer in college and I think I would like to attend a medium to large school.
