Paige West '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Paige West. I live in Rumson, New Jersey, and attend Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH). I enjoy spending time with my friends, family, and being on the soccer field with my teammates.

I play for Cedar Stars Monmouth 2006 Academy team as the starting center mid. I love this position because it utilizes my strengths as a defensive player and a playmaker. My ability to see the field and read the game has elevated me to become a crucial part of my team. My GA team plays in the Atlantic group. With the GA, I have been selected to attend the 2021 as well as the 2022 Mid-Atlantic Talent ID, which is an invitation-only event for the top players in the GA. I have also been selected for the Capelli Sports + Northeast IDI, which is an invitation-only event. I also play for Rumson Fair-Haven Regional High School's varsity soccer team, where I have been the starting center Mid since my freshman year.

For both my club and high school, I have been a top scorer and on the leaderboard for assists. As a center mid, I have a major role and several responsibilities that I need to account for. Center mid allows me to showcase my playmaking abilities as well as my defensive abilities. My eagerness to win every ball, tackle, and 50/50 ball makes center mid a great fit for me. I am able to distribute the ball, take on players, and carry the ball up the field to create a chance for my team to succeed. My best asset is my ability to see the field; I am able to anticipate the next play, and I always know where I should be on the field. Before I even get the ball, I know exactly where I am going to place it, which is another reason for my great success in center mid. Over the past few years, I've been featured in local press and media articles as a "player to watch" or a "season standout." Soccer has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, always teaching me to never give up and to believe in myself. Soccer has helped bring out the best version of me. The ultimate reward from all these countless years of hard work would be to secure a spot on a competitive team of talented college athletes, to get the chance to work with incredible coaches that I will continue to learn from, and lastly, to help my future team win games and championships and to continue playing the sport that I love.
