Melinda Almeida '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Melinda Almeida and I'm a Junior at Union County Magnet High School in Scotch Plains, NJ. I'm 5'6'" and weigh 160 lb.  I'm from Kenilworth, NJ.  Ever since I was 4 years-old, I've always had a passion for soccer. I am very committed to my trainings and I strive to become a better player each day. I want to continue to learn and grow as a soccer player. I'm hardworking, competitive, and determined to always become a better version of myself.  I've been a starter, playing varsity soccer since my freshman year in my home school district David Brearley, in Kenilworth, NJ. I also am a starter on Union Soccer Club team Fury and this December 2022 we will be going to nationals in Tampa Florida. We were State Cup Finalist in the year of 2021. I take pride in being an excellent student. I want to study engineering and attend a university that I can pursue my academy as well as athletic goals. I recently joined a track club team Benfica. This will assist me to increase my speed and condition my body to be an effective soccer player.
