Personal Statement

All my life, I have been about being the best version of myself to do good for the community and on the soccer field. As a soccer player, I am motivated and competitive, that will do whatever training it takes to impact the team. My competitive nature has given me the ability to practice and perform at a high level. Being a track runner, I am also very fast and quick when it comes to play making decisions, getting around players, and making defensive stops. Unlike other soccer recruits, I did not have the benefits of playing at a high club level. Instead I fought and constantly trained to be the best at the high school level. I've been overlook and that underdog because I did not play and was not seen at high level club soccer games. Therefore, I know what it feels like to be diligent and focused to not only compete at the collegiate level, but be an impact and game changer to a soccer team. Academically, I am also motivated, diligent, and focused to strive for excellence. I currently hold a GPA of 3.9 (on the 4.0 scale based on my high school GPA on the 100 scale) and a class rank of 8 out of 395 students at my high school. In addition, I've earned over 60 college credits, earning my Associate's degree in Applied Science in Health Science, been on the President's List at the community college I took college courses at, and became the high school winner for the Heisman High School Scholarship in Fall 2021. As an athlete and student I plan to maintain my motivation and diligence in achieving goals such as being of great influence to a soccer program, earning Defensive Player awards, be successful in my major of study, and enrolling into medical school to pursue a career as a Hematologist/Oncologist pediatric doctor, after athletics.

Training

  • Soccer Training
  • 2 years
  • I've played soccer since I was 8, but began to start seriously training during my last 2 years of high school. About 2 times a week for at least 2 hours, I am trained by coach Rich King (contact information in the coach references section). At my training sessions we work on agility, speed, shooting, and several ball drills that have built me into a smart and creative player on the field that can think 2-3 plays ahead. Part of my motivation and diligence comes from these soccer training sessions. Which has prepared me to compete at the collegiate level.
