Jessica Carrieri '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5ft, 5in, 120 lb, passionate soccer player from Green Brook, NJ and a member of the graduating class of 2019.  I am a very versatile player who can play multiple positions well.  My preferred positions are right forward, right outside midfield, center and outside defense. I have 2 years of NJ  ODP experience and in 2017-2018 was on the East Region team and selected to travel with the US East Region 2000/2001 soccer team to Amsterdam in March 2018 to represent the US which was an incredible experience.

I have been a starter for my high school varsity team since freshman year and in my first year on the team, I was awarded the Rookie of the Year title and during my sophomore year, I was picked for the All Skyland Conference First team. In my junior year, I was nominated by NJ.com as one of the top juniors to watch in the state and was selected for the All Skyland Conference First team and was selected as the varsity soccer team's defensive MVP and overall MVP.  In my senior year I served as a team co-captain and was recognized by NJ.com as one of top seniors to watch and best defensive players in the state. I also was selected as the overall MVP for my HS soccer team and received First team designations for All Skyland Conference, All Group 4 and Second Team All State.

As co-captain of my club team, NJ Elite for seven years, I have gained valuable leadership experience and developed successful communication skills with my teammates and coaches. As a soccer player, I believe that my best assets include great speed, agility, determination, and versatility.

Ideally, I would like to be at a small to medium size school and am open to geographical location. My desired career path is pre-dentistry. I would like very much to participate in a soccer program at a college or university where I would be both challenged on the field as well as academically in the classroom.
