Jayla Carriaga '25 Recruiting Profile

My educational objectives are to attend a welcoming and diverse university and obtain a business degree in addition to a photography degree, as I have a strong interest in photography. My respect for my teammates, both on and off the field, as well as the coaches makes me an excellent option for your team. I am an independent, highly hard-working person who will give it my all on both the field and my schoolwork. My ability to balance soccer and education is what sets me apart from other recruits. In addition, Project-based learning, or PBL, is what my high school taught me. It teaches kids how to communicate not only with their peers but also with teachers, coaches, managers, and mentors. It demonstrates to me how to prepare for college after high school. Being quiet and shy at first, and not very talkative or loud, is another characteristic that sets me apart from other students. However, as you get to know me, I'm a really interesting and enjoyable teammate and student.
